In a big night for murundak - songs of freedom and the Black Arm Band, the documentary was awarded in two separate awards ceremonies.
At the United Nations Media Peace Awards, the film received a Special Award for the Promotion of Aboriginal Reconciliation. Filmmakers Sarah Bond, Natasha Gadd and Rhys Graham were on hand to receive the award in the ceremony hosted by Virginia Trioli.
Meanwhile, at the same time on the other side of town, producer Philippa Campey was on hand to received the ATOM Award for Best Documentary.
Congrats to all the team and to the Black Arm Band for the continued recognition of the importance of their songs and stories.
